Celeb Style Report, Blake lively

Blake Lively (born August 25, 1987) is an American actress and model. She currently stars as Serena van der Woodsen in the book-based TV drama Gossip Girl
Lively's mother, who was a former model from Georgia, inspired Blake to have an interest in clothes when she was a child.  During Lively's childhood, her mother would sew clothes and dress her with garments from boutiques and vintage stores.
Lively wear’s many types of outfits for all different occasions. She’s not one to blend into the background, always experimenting with colour and wearing designer brands, but she’s also not outrageous with her fashion sense. I’ve compiled a selection of images that explain and describe 5 styles worn by Blake that compliment both her personality and fashion sense.

1. Casual
Just like any other 23 year old girl, Lively lounges around in her casuals, except she still manages to look stunning. The bright whites in this outfit make her hair shine and her skin glow a little more, which reflect her smile and bubbly personality. Mixing a louder cardigan with a plain Tee makes the style coherent and less in your face, but the sequins add personality to an otherwise ordinary outfit.

2. Out and about
This outfit is smart casual and perfect for going out and about and looking great at the same time. Again Lively opts for a Plain tee rather than a more busy one, This makes the look more modern and sleek. The heels add length to her legs and are fashionable worn with Slim fitting jeans.
Blake looks comfy in this, but still smart enough to go to an important lunch or meeting.
The more casual style jacket plays down the greyscale colouring of the outfit and makes it look more youthful.

3. Masculine
Here we see Lively wearing a slightly more masculine style, this reflects the determined career woman than Blake lively has become over the past couple of years. The shoulder pads in the jacket give the outfit an edge, but the shiny fabric keeps it on the right side of feminine. The boyish 3/4 length trousers are a statement blue, which works well with another simple top. To make eccentric fashionable, you cant go all out.. You have to tone down something and i think Lively does this well. To add to the whole outfit, she accessorises with a boyish satchel and her hair pulled back.

4. Colour
Mixing colour can be difficult, especially when you’re a celeb at a red carpet function, because you don’t want to be slated in the mags. This is a great example of mixing two contrasting colours and getting it just right. The turquoise clashes in a fashionable way with the plum colour cocktail dress Lively’s wearing. This particular colour makes her skin tone richer and makes her look much more Healthy.

5. Red Carpet
The last look Is a red carpet outfit. Here we see a simple, very well cut nude dress that looks like, and probably was, made to fit her. The shiny nude fabric is suggestive in a mature and elegant way, but the panelled, close fitting dress is youthful and the Fringing adds personality. Her hair is drawn back off her face and she is styled so that you feel as if you are looking at the natural, no makeupped her. I think this is how designers should make dresses for celebrities, They sell the woman, which in turn sells the dress.

The pretty, feminine, blonde is never seen in public without a smile on her face, and more and more girls are starting to see her as a role model. She is becoming a fashion icon with teens all around the world, mainly because of her role in Gossip girl where she plays a privileged girl brought up in the lap of luxury. A lot of people now aspire to and mimic her taste in fashion, which is much like her characters.
Lively is also set to become the new Chanel Muse; she takes over Lily Allen this season, representing the new Mademoiselle Handbag range. She represents everything a Chanel girl should be, Tasteful, Intelligent, Driven, Beautiful, Fun and Elegant.
