Outfit Post: Jenny's 30th Birthday Luncheon

Yesterday was my sister Jenny's 30th birthday luncheon at Sable, a great new restaurant at the Palomar, a new hotel downtown on State Street. Everyone seemed to have a great time between the yummy food and good talk. I can't wait to celebrate again this upcoming Friday on her real birthday! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Today I'll be laying around enjoying a lazy Sunday indoors. :) XO, Liza

Item of the Day: Unearthen Crystal Prism Ring

I'm never one to say no to several rings on each hand... Jewls is the same way. The more, the better. I love mixing and matching more simple everyday rings with just one amazing standout statement piece.  The next must have one on my list is Unearthen's Crystal Prism Ring.  Although it's available in a larger version, I feel the smaller one is just perfect. After all, I have very small hands and I do not need to poke an eye out! Ha! How beautiful does it look once it's on though? The ring comes in a few styles: oxidized silver or rose gold with either black onyx or clear quartz. When I do decide to give in and make my purchase, I think I am going to have a really hard time choosing JUST one! XO, Liza

Jewelry Designer Spotlight: All for the Mountain

Carly Margolis and her boyfriend, Matthew Morgan lauched All for the Mountain back in 2009. She designs the jewelry and he designs the furniture. I LIVE FOR creative couples producing and coming up with things together. I love nothing more than the blurry nights of blaring loud music with my man and getting lost in a big canvas and painting with him. Then three hours later of not speaking and painting in silence... we get to step back, snuggle each other and gaze at what we made together. There is something truly magical, spiritual, and bonding about this process. So when I come across eccentric couples who have nailed this concept down, I can only be in awe of it because the connection really does shine through the material and product.

I have been on a serious binge of brass plated necklaces as of lately and these guys are nailing my mood right on the head with these babies below. Necklaces like these just add that perfect strange "oomph" to any outfit. I am still on a hunt for more to add to my collection... Vintage and modern takes. So far, these are the only ones that I have found to be right on the money as they are a little bit on the tribal side and not so gaudy. As we all know, I am insanely picky about jewelry because if I don't like it,  I'll just make it myself!! ;)  Happy Saturday guys!

Midas Ladder Necklace. This is the mother load!!! I love this to death. Ugh, what an incredible piece.

Killer.

Phalanx Necklace. I would wear this everyday. It would look amazing with a ratty t-shirt and could be worn with a stunning dress. I love that this piece can go with literally anything.

This stone is so beautiful.

Shoulder Pad Necklace. This is also a winner because it is versatile. Great with any top and can also be worn with dressier pieces. That's why I love brass so much. You can dress it up or down SO easily and it always adds that teensy bit of edge to your look.

Outfit Post: Hazy Shade of Winter

Jaunary is a weird month for me. The holidays are over, it's a brand new year, and it's kind of bleh, don't you think? Always hard for me to get back into the swing of things after all the December festivities. On the bright side though, it's my sister's birthday very soon, so my mom, her, and I went shopping last night to look for something special for her 30th. She ended up picking out a very unique and beautiful ring at Material Possessions, a fabulous store downtown on Wabash. I approve! Hope you guys all had a wonderful week. It's the weekend now! Outfit Post: Post Holiday Shopping

Haaaaaaaaappy New Year guys! I am back!! Sorry I haven't posted in a bazillion years. I was up in Vancouver and Whistler, Canada with John and his fam skiing for the holidays! I had such an amazing time and am definitely having a serious case of the post-vacay blues. I am missing the snow and the mountains and LA just feels so so so dull to me! Blagh! To perk myself up, I am hitting the sales and scooping up post holidays items for my man and myself. ;) Now I don't have to feel selfish since the holidays are over. Mwahaha. Hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and New Years!

Website Spotlight: Boutiques.Com

I am always all for discovering new fashion sites, whether it be ones like Polyvore where you can put outfits together or ones like Fashionista.com that explore all aspects of the fashion world. Boutiques.com, which launched this past November, is a brand new site made by Google that allows you to create your own "boutique", based on styles you like, as well as silhouettes, colors, etc. Now that I think of it, it's kind of like the Pandora of fashion! Once you pick your style preferences, Boutiques.com breaks it down and shows you tons of different options that are available for purchase from all your favorite online shopping destinations, whether it be Net-a-porter or Neimans. I highly recommend this site for people that have a hard time finding things they like online.... I, on the other hand, practically know EVERY website that carries my favorite designers/brands, so I don't use it that often. It's definitely fun though to click on what you "love, "hate", and want to add to your personal boutique. Not to mention you are able to browse all the different celebrity boutiques and see what they like! Check out what the site looks like below... And don't forget to "folllow" me if you plan on joining or are already a member on the site! My username is LizaW. Happy Monday everyone! XO, Liza

Shoe Designer Spotlight: Rachel Antonoff X Bass

Ahhh! Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful New Years Eve... mine was great. I stayed in with Angel and my cat, ate good food, drank a ton of champagne, and passed out super early. Hahahaha! I am a nerd, but that is definitely my idea of a perfect night. Aaaanyways, what better then to start the new year off with a brand new shoe collaboration by one of my fave designers, Rachel Antonoff. Teaming up with Bass, the loafer and oxford experts, Rachel designed a whole line of shoes that honestly will make your heart melt. I am coveting at LEAST five of the pairs, as well as that white dress Tennessee Thomas is wearing in the first picture. I actually am loving wearing my furs and heavy coats this winter, but can it PLEASE be spring now so I can slip these babies on everyday? XO, Liza

I know, I know.... these are insanely cute. The kitten isn't too bad either. ;)
Ah! The little bows kill me!
 Absolutely darling.
SO many choices!
